The Regulations of BIGSAS
The Regulations of the Bayreuth International Graduate School of African Studies (BIGSAS) represent the legal and organizational basis of the graduate school as an institution. As such it defines its overall objectives and tasks, its administrational structure, its governing bodies, as well as the rights, obligations and duties of its members and associated members.
With this, the BIGSAS regulations ensures that all administrative and academic processes and the overall organization of the graduate school are clearly defined and transparent. This enables the effective administration and promotion of scientific work within BIGSAS and helps to provide a comprehensive high quality doctoral education that meets all academic standards. Through this, doctoral students are supported in their research and promoted in their professional development while completing their doctorate.
