African Rhythms: ALY KEITA TRIO in Bayreuth
We would like to cordially invite you to enjoy African rhythms with the world-renowned ALY KEITA TRIO, whose music combines Afropop with funk and jazz elements. Aly Keita himself has just won the “Deutscher Jazz Preis” (German jazz award) for his outstanding artistic expression of the balafon. Mozambican musician Matchume Zango and South African choreographer and dancer Desiré Davids will also perform as supporting acts.
The event kicks off the two-day festivities celebrating the award of the BIGSAS Bayreuth honorary doctorate to Prof. Fatou Sow by the University of Bayreuth. Admission is free of charge.
